Daniel Yaker is a graphic designer living in Portland, Oregon who specializes in identity design, analysis, and creative concepting.
Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dan moved to Portland in 2007 to study foreign languages at Lewis & Clark college. Always captivated by the design and style of the sixties and seventies, he made the formal decision to become a graphic designer in 2012, enrolling in the certificate program at the Pacific Northwest College of Art.
He is known for his clean visual style, wry sense of humor, and love of old funk records.
His inspirations include vintage corporate identity, classic film, 90s hip-hop, and NBA basketball.
“Dan’s one of those creatives who’s like a killer whale lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce. . .He has a quick wit and clever way of juxtaposing art and copy."
